Cultural Possibilities

Silverhill-Residence is located amidst several Thai cultural sites. It may be the close by located Bhudda-Mountain, the temple complex of Wat Yan, the beautiful gardens surrounding the Silverlake vineyard or the largest botanical garden of Southeast Asia, the “Suan Nong Nooch”,  you will be fascinated by the wonderful attractions in close proximity.

Furthermore, one of the nicest beaches in the area is just 5 kilometers away. To Pattaya it is 25 kilometers. No matter what you may have heard about this town, it will surprise you! It is certainly not as bad as its reputation!

Wat Yansangwararam

Wat Yansangwararam, usually just called Wat Yan, is located on a 600,000 square metre area amidst tropical gardens and a small lake.
This Buddhist temple is a royal Wat whose patron is King Bhumibol.
Incorporated into these large temple grounds is the Chinese temple Viharnra Sein, which is also dedicated to the King.
Next to a school and a hospital there is also an animal shelter for the breeding and nurturing of endangered species.

Khao Chee Chan (Buddha-Hill)

In 1996, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of King Bhumibol's accession to the throne, the world's largest Buddha-image was created here.
This monument, which was sculptured with lasers into an artificially flattened rock face and then gilded over several months, is in close proximity to Silver-Hill.

The beach of Bang Saray

The beach of Bang Saray is without a doubt the most beautiful beach in the vicinity. By car you can reach this idyllic place in about five minutes.
Still unspoiled and not overrun, this beach is several kilometres long. Take a walk along the shoreline and experience a beautiful sunset.

Enjoy a dinner in one of the restaurants which at dusk put up their tables right on the beach, and have a nice bottle of wine with your meal.
Are you in heaven yet?

Nong Nooch

Only a short distance away you'll find on an area of 2.4 million square metres the largest botanical gardens in Southeast Asia.
More than 4,000 different kinds of plants are on show here in the most beautiful arrangements. Even a small zoo has been incorporated into this unique complex.

Several times a day there are performances. In one of those you will see the traditional costumes and dances of Thailand's five main regions. This is followed by a half hour elephant show.
Take your time so you can really enjoy these amazing gardens.

Pattaya

We chose on purpose a locality near the city of Pattaya. It can't be denied that Pattaya has a bit of a seedy reputation, but it is nevertheless a fascinating melting pot that offers everything one might be looking for. For some years now the city fathers have been trying to correct this image, so as to make Pattaya more of a holiday destination for families. About 20 golf courses in the vicinity have also helped to attract a more cultivated clientele. Numerous new hotels and businesses are an indication of this development, and you will see that Pattaya is no where near as bad as its portrayed media image.

In this constantly growing city you will find the most diverse cultures. Anything a European could wish for, can be obtained here. The latest technical innovations as well as food items for your home kitchen are readily available. Go shopping in one of the many department stores and enjoy dinner in an international restaurant.  No matter which cuisine you prefer, Thai, Italian, Chinese, Indian, American: They can all be found in Pattaya. Are you craving a Swiss fondue or an English breakfast? No problem..
